Cube Solver: Block Escape is published by Andres Botia, an individual developer. This policy describes the first public version of the app. For questions or privacy requests, contact andresfbotia@gmail.com.
Information stored on your device
The app saves your puzzle progress, stars, earned coins, Hint and Radar use, settings, and an unfinished puzzle locally so you can continue playing. That local save is not uploaded to us. You can reset campaign progress in Settings. Removing the app removes the local save. Gameplay does not require an account or an internet connection.
Optional anonymous gameplay analytics
Anonymous progress is off by default. The app does not start the PostHog analytics client until you turn on Anonymous progress in Settings in a public production build. If you opt in, the app sends successful gameplay events to PostHog over HTTPS. These events help us understand puzzle difficulty and campaign progress.
The events can include the level and world number, level name, starts, completions and exits, completion or elapsed time, blocks remaining, percentage cleared, replay or first-completion status, Hint or Radar use and coin cost, remaining earned coins, completion bonuses, and overall campaign progress. The app also sends its version and build number.
The PostHog software adds an anonymous identifier stored on the device, app name, version, build and bundle ID, device type, manufacturer and model, operating system name and version, simulator status, locale, time zone, and screen size.
The app does not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or advertising identifier for analytics. It does not enable session replay, touch autocapture, remote feature flags, or GeoIP enrichment in the analytics client.
Your choices
To stop new analytics events, open the game's Settings and turn Anonymous progress off. New events are then dropped on the device. Turning it off does not automatically remove events already received by PostHog. You can contact us about a privacy or deletion request using the email below.
PostHog and data handling
PostHog is the analytics provider for this optional feature. The app sends events to its US host at us.i.posthog.com. PostHog receives the connection IP address to handle a network request. The app requests that PostHog not enrich events with IP-based location data. We have not verified the project's separate geolocation settings or how PostHog handles the connection IP. See PostHog's privacy policy for information about its service.
How long PostHog keeps events depends on its project settings, which we have not verified. For questions about data held by the service, or to make a deletion request, contact us using the email below. Turning analytics off does not delete events already received by PostHog.
No ads or purchases
The first public version has no advertising, no in-app purchases, and no account. The optional analytics described here is for understanding gameplay, not advertising.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date shown above. The app's Privacy policy link in Settings will lead to this page once configured.
